Over $5 Million Dedicated to Tribal Water Projects

Interior secretary announces funding at Iron Gate Fish Hatchery.

Secretary of the Interior Deb Haaland announced this past week that four Tribal water projects in the Klamath River Basin would be receiving $5.8 million for aquatic system restoration. Secretary Haaland made this announcement as she was touring the Iron Gate Fish Hatchery with federal leaders, state officials, and Tribal representatives. The Klamath River Basin has experienced drought and human tampering for decades and is in need of revitalization.

“The projects we are funding today – combined with millions of dollars in water and habitat resilience investments from President Biden’s Bipartisan Infrastructure Law – will help restore this once abundant ecosystem for the benefit of all its inhabitants,” said Secretary Haaland.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For Secretary Haaland as she works with Tribal nations to manage water projects.
  • For Bureau of Reclamation Commissioner Camille Calimlim Touton to seek God’s direction as she oversees the bureau.
  • For wisdom for the president and his environmental advisors as they pursue water conservation programs.
